A New K3V2 Pro is Coming! Sharp Improvement on Performance o

     As the long-time rumored Huawei Hisilicon is still far from certain release, the new K3V2 Pro leaked some time ago exposed with Huawei leading device P6 but with another code name-Huawei P6S. It gets a real impressive improvement on performance comparing with the former P6 with Hisilicon K3V2e，especially on 3D graphics.

    The latest benchmarking score updates to 22270, which has approached to the mainstream flagship smartphones but still some distance remain. The test model and detail test score is below.

    The quad-core Pro Hisilicon K3V2 was the smallest 4 kernels cortex-A9 Pro in early 2012 with high-end performance CPU clocking at 1.2 GHz and 1.5 GHz which was developed by Hisilicon self. Even with a good performance at beginning, this Pro lost its competitive power with the leading phone-Pro little by little after a long time fight in smartphone market. In order to save the situation, Huawei teases a new Pro named K3V2e with Huawei P6. But the add of little e just indicated a little improvement on frequence. Although there is no Pro model shown, referring to the info leaked before,it can be sure that this is what Huawei said about K3V2( K3V3 should wait until next spring). The minimum frequence of K3V2 Pro is 200MHZ and the maximum frequence is 1.6GHz which is the same with K3V2e. What’s more, Huawei P6 S-U00 could be Unicom version.

Let’s see how this new K3V2 Pro performs better than K3V2e.

    Last generation K3V2e adopted Vivante Gc4000. Theoretically，the performance should be on the bar of SGX543 MP4, but still remain much space for compatibility and optimizing. This time, the 3D graphics score of P6S reached 5844. This huge improvement apparently can not just rely on software update, so there must be some change on GPU  which may be the upcoming Mali-450. Otherwise, this new CPU could be the self-developed CPU---Balong V9R1(Hi6620).

Comments: there is indeed some improvement of the new K3V2 compared with K3V2e, while with snapdragon 800, Samsung Exynos 5420 and NVIDIA Tegra 4, it seems to have big difference.Anyhow, improvement leads prospect.
