Usually,we have the overall smartphoneperformance ranking list as measured by average Antutu score whichincludes both Android smartphones and iOS smartphones as well as theseparate ranking lists based on different operating systems. However, becausethere were no new iOS models released in March, and the rankings of the iOSdevices showed little fluctuations compared with that of February, this time weonly include the Android list. First let’s have a look at the overall performanceranking list.
From the above list, we can see that the rankingsof March didn’t change much due to a lack of new modelrelease in March compared to the rankings of February. In March, iPhone7 Plus continued to top the overall performance ranking list with an averageAntutu score of 181494 points, outperforming OnePlus 3T, the No.1 performancemodel in Android camp, by nearly 20000 points. However, with new models poweredby Snapdragon 835 mobile platform coming to the market, the performance gap between iPhone models and Android models is estimatedto be narrowed in the future.
Next, let’s have a look at the Android list.
In March, OnePlus 3T whichis powered by Snapdragon 821 processor continued to take the lead with an averageAntutu score of 161448 points, followed by LeEco Le Pro 3 with an average Antutuscore of 158156 points. The previously No.3 model OnePlus 3 didn’t appear onthe list due to a lack of enough data samples submitted to Antutu database andwas replaced by the No.4 model Moto Z with an average Antutu score of 148452points. Moto Z is powered by Snapdragon 820 processor, and offers memorycombination of 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
Inparticular, the newcomer HTC 10 successfully broke into the top 10 with anaverage Antutu score of 143493 points, 5000 points higher than that ofFebruary. This model is powered by Snapdragon 820 processor, and ranked 19th inthe top 50 list of February. It's worth mentioning thatcurrently the flagship model of HTC is HTC U Ultra, which is powered bySnapdragon 821, but because the number of HTC U Ultra scores submitted tothe Antutu database didn’t reach the statistical requirement at themoment, it didn’t appear on this list.
SamsungGalaxy S8, which is powered the newest Snapdragon 835 mobile platform also didn’tappear on the list, because it was just released at the end of March and wasnot available in the market yet. Galaxy S8 is expected to break the record of averageAntutu score in Android camp. Let’s wait and see the performance of this modelin April.
ZTEAxon 7, ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe, Xiaomi Mi 5s, Xiaomi Mi 5, Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus andLG G5 also appeared on the list with excellent performance.
