LG G2 gets new teaser video, updated event invites
LG has been anything but shy with talking about the G2. It was already confirming hardware specs before the handset’s name was even official, it strongly implied on invitations for its August 7 launch event that the G2 was the subject at hand, and last week it formally announced it was dropping the Optimus name and this phone would, indeed, arrive as the G2. As we wait for that event, we have a new invite to check out – this time fully embracing the phone’s name – along with a new teaser video.
Well, it’s teasing something all right, but this is one of those videos that’s light as can be on any substantive details about the phone, and instead attempts to get us felling good about the G2 without actually telling us anything about it.
The new invite uses some of that same imagery from the video. All in all, there’s not much new here, but we are intrigued by how the space between the rear volume buttons glows in the clip. We’ve been back and forth on whether that component would be flash of some kind, or just a button. Though we’d been leaning towards button lately, this has us reconsidering things.
